Since 1998, Empresa de Servicios Tecnológicos Limitada (EST) has been delivering high-level specialized services, bridging science, innovation and industry. As a spin-off of the Technological Development Unit (UDT) at the University of Concepción, we help turn knowledge into practical solutions for companies, public institutions, and individuals.
EST was born at the UDT-UdeC as a spin-off company aimed at responding to real technological challenges. Our mission is to deliver services that integrate research, development and technology transfer, with agile management and a strong commitment to sustainability and excellence.
We are certified under the ISO 17025 standard, ensuring the reliability and quality of our analytical services. We serve both internal clients from the University and external partners, nationally and internationally.
We address specific technological challenges through R&D projects that connect scientific supply with industry demand. Our national and international collaboration network allows us to identify and adapt the best available solutions.
We also support our clients in securing shared funding, reducing the risks of investing in innovation.
We guide product development from conception to validation under real conditions. Our multidisciplinary team and specialized infrastructure allow us to transition from research to design, formulation and small-scale production.
We manufacture prototypes and pilot batches tailored to our clients’ needs, enabling demonstration and market feasibility assessments.
We are pioneers in scaling up technologies in Chile and Latin America. Our pilot plants and specialized facilities enable the transition from lab research to industrial validation.

EST is authorized by the Biobío Health Authority (SEREMI) under Resolution N° 2208237666 and is registered in the SINADER system of the Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (RETC), ID: 5487384.
We support companies and institutions in sustainable waste management strategies, under regulatory standards and circular economy principles.
Our INN (National Institute for Standardization) accredited laboratory provides specialized analysis in two main areas::
• Characterization of solid biofuels (biomass)
• Hazard assessment of waste
