9. Equipment for sample preparation and plastic recycling

a) Hammer mill

Brand and model:Peerless.

Capacity:Approx. 200 kg of bark per hour.

Description:Comminution of brittle solid samples (e.g., bark) through the impact generated between rotating hammers and the material. The maximum particle size of the product is defined by the type of screen installed at the bottom of the mill.

b) Pin mill

Brand and model:Alpine 160 Z.

Capacity:Approx. 20 kg/hour.

Description:The material is fed through a cylindrical element rotating at high speed, to which numerous pins are attached that impact the material.

c) Cutting mill

Brand and model:AMIS S-20/20 3661.

Capacity:Approx. 100 kg/hour.

Description:Mill for grinding thermoplastic materials using cutting knives.

d) Refiner

Brand and model:Sprout Bauer.

Capacity:Approx. 200 kg/hour.

Description:The refiner consists of two parallel discs, one of which rotates at 1,200 rpm. The material is fed through the center of the discs and is forced to move obliquely between them.

e) Shredder

Brand and model:Untha, RS 30-4-2.

Capacity:Approx. 200 kg/hour.

Description:Low-speed rotary shredder, typically suitable for grinding plastic bags, bulk bags, plastic bottles, etc. It has two 7.5 kW motors.

f) Rotary screen

Brand and model:In-house manufacturing.

Capacity:Approx. 1,000 L/load.

Description:Hexagonal rotary drum, 150 cm in diameter and 110 cm in length. Each face of the hexagon is equipped with a screen of specific size and shape.

g) Vibrating screen

Brand and model:In-house manufacturing.

Capacity:10 m3/h, depending on the particle size of the product.

Description:Three-level vibrating screen, approximately 2.5 m in length, 2.7 m in height, and 1 m in width. It is equipped with two motor vibrators that provide the necessary energy for particle sorting; the material is loaded manually.
